About HEARTHSTONE

Stonework for people
who think about their property
like a hundred-year investment.

Aurelia opened in 2018 with one idea: most salons rush you through, and most clients leave wishing they'd been heard. We're slower than that on purpose. Every appointment starts with a real consultation. We ask what you want, what you've tried, what you've hated. Then we build the work.

Six craftsmen, including a third-generation mason. We hand-pick our stone from local quarries. Our concrete mix designs are engineered for Ontario freeze-thaw. We don't take work we can't guarantee.

Free site assessments. Engineered drawings included on retaining walls over 4ft. Lifetime workmanship guarantee on dry-stacked walls.

Every Aurelia stylist trained in our chair for at least 18 months before working on a paying client. They each have a specialty — ask at booking and we'll match you. Or if you want a generalist, any of them will look after you start to finish.

What time of year do you pour? +

April through November in Ontario. Cold-weather pours possible with heated blankets if scheduling demands it — adds 10% to cost.

Do you handle permits? +

Yes for retaining walls over 4ft, foundations, and structural masonry. Decorative work doesn't typically require permits in St Thomas.

How long until I can use it? +

Concrete: 7 days before light use, 28 days before vehicle traffic. Mortared stonework: 48 hours before stress, 14 days before sealing.

What warranty? +

Lifetime workmanship on dry-stacked walls. 10 years on mortared stonework. 5 years on concrete (industry-leading). Manufacturer warranties on sealers.
